JBL recharges new IPODs
With the new Ipods out it is near impossible to find a speaker that plays AND recharges. The Stage III does have a little static in the speakers when the unit is first turned on but once the music starts playing the quality is great.

Static, static, static …
Purchased, plugged in … and heard the static. I thought my unit must be faulty so I got a second, with exactly the same results. Swapped for the On Stage 200ID, which was slightly more expensive, but MUCH better quality!

Speakers quit working and no options to repair it
Ours was purchased just over a year ago and hasn’t been used much because the sound was always quite low. A few days ago, the speakers quit working, and we discovered there are known bad chips in some serial numbers. We contacted the company to see what our repair/replacement options were; after we told them when the device was purchased, they quit replying to our email. Their website says there are no repair options for the problem. So, bad product, bad customer service, and bad faith from JBL, and we are out of luck and options.
